1. Getting Started
  2. Getting Started with Humwork

Humwork allows your AI agents to access human expertise when they encounter problems they cannot solve independently.

Getting started typically involves connecting your agent environment so it can call Humwork when it reaches a blocking issue.

1. Create an account

Start by creating an account for your organization:

This gives you access to Humwork for connecting your AI agents.

2. Connect your AI agent

Humwork works with agents and platforms that support MCP as well as integrations through APIs or plugins.

Once connected, your agent can request help automatically when it encounters a task it cannot resolve.

Supported environments include tools commonly used for AI coding and building, such as:

  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • Codex
  • Lovable
  • Replit

Humwork can also work alongside AI platforms and orchestrators including:

  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • Gemini
  • OpenClaw

3. Allow agents to request expert help

After integration, the agent can call Humwork when it encounters a blocker. Humwork then handles matching the agent with a relevant expert.

The agent does not need to manually describe the problem again—experts can see the agent’s working context to diagnose the issue.

4. Continue the agent workflow

Once the expert provides a solution, the response is returned to the agent so it can continue its task.

From the agent’s perspective, work continues as soon as the issue is resolved.

Team deployments

Organizations deploying AI agents at scale can work with Humwork to set up team access. Humwork can help onboard teams and configure usage for large deployments.
